Jaya Guru Datta! Jayalakshmi Datta Yoga Center was founded by His Holiness Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji in 2022. It was His sankalpa to have a center in the DC metro area. After considering multiple locations, Sri Swamiji chose this particular area because He felt a strong spiritual connection and immense Devi energy here. Sri Swamiji aptly named the ashram after His mother and guru Jayalakshmi Mata, and by His grace, JDYC was officially inaugurated in 2023.

This beautiful ashrama not only has a serene atmosphere with lush greenery, rolling hills, and two converging streams, but it is also just 45 minutes north of Washington, D.C. It is also connected to the community where many devotees will soon live.

Currently, many spiritual activities such as pujas, Lalitha Sahasranama parayanas, and Shiva abhishekams are conducted at JDYC regularly. Shloka classes, Bhajan classes, and Datta Kriya Yoga classes are also taught here. Additionally, JDYC organizes many charitable activities like food drives and walkathons as a way to give back to the community.

Sri Swamiji envisioned a Devi Panchayatana temple at JDYC, with Rajarajeshwari Devi as the primary deity and Shiva, Vishnu, Ganesha, Skanda, Dattatreya, and Hanuman as the Parivaram deities. By Sri Swamiji’s divine grace, Sri Swamiji’s vision will come to fruition soon.
